La Plage de La Source: Pornic’s historic cove
Just a 15-minute drive from your seaside campsite, La Source beach is a golden sandy cove among the rocks, right next to Pornic Thalasso. A must-see in low season for those seeking natural beauty and tranquillity. Its view of the Atlantic Ocean and fine sand make it the perfect place to relax after a sunny day. What’s more, restaurants and cafés are nearby for a well-deserved break.
Practical info: Plage de la Source has been awarded the Pavillon Bleu* and is non-smoking. Swimming is supervised in July and August. Dogs are allowed on the beach from October to March.
In summer, you’ll need to be patient when parking, as this pretty beach is very popular. The good news is that it’s also accessible on foot via the customs path that runs alongside the sea!

Plage de la Noëveillard (Pornic): large, lively beach near your La Renaudière campsite
Located 15 minutes from the campsite, this is Pornic’s largest beach. With its lively atmosphere, it’s perfect for a family day out. Its pleasant setting and clear waters make it a popular spot for water sports activities. If you like the idea of being close to a seaside campsite, this beach is one of the most accessible in the region. It’s also one of the few where you can swim at low tide. Young people and sports enthusiasts appreciate it immensely.

La Plage de l’Étang (Pornic): a corner of paradise

Plage de l’Étang is also Blue Flag certified.
Practical: the beach has a small bathing area with lifeguards in summer. It can be reached in just a few minutes by bike from the La Renaudière campsite. Parking is available just 5 minutes’ walk from the beach. Dogs are allowed from October to March.

La Grande Plage de Tharon: a dynamic atmosphere just a stone’s throw from your campsite
Tharon beach is one of the largest in the region, with over1 kilometer of fine sand along the dunes. It’s also the liveliest, especially in summer. With its many sporting activities, beach games and friendly atmosphere, it attracts families and young people in search of entertainment. Whether for water sports (on the reserved northern part), relaxing in the sun or enjoying the local entertainment, this beach is often chosen for an energetic day out, while remaining close to your accommodation. It can be reached in just 10 minutes by car.

Plage du Cormier (La Plaine-sur-Mer): The families’ favorite beach
Just 7 minutes by car, or 25 minutes by bike if you take the Velodyssée along the coast, Plage du Cormier in La Plaine sur Mer is a favorite with families looking for activities for all. Its fine sand makes it a natural and pleasant spot. Here, you can relax on your towel, or take part in a sporting activity of your choice. In summer, you can borrow the necessary equipment for a game of beach volleyball or table tennis. A number of restaurants and bars are close by for a gourmet break with a view of the sea.

La Grande Plage de Préfailles: the sea in the town center not far from the campsite
This is the nearest swimming beach to Camping Mirabel La Renaudière. You can walk to it along the GR8 footpath. At low tide, you can take your children fishing for shellfish, or take part in a sandcastle contest! If you’re planning to spend the day, there are tables set up for a picnic by the water. In summer, the beach is supervised and children can swim in complete safety. To make the most of this family-friendly spot, the village of Préfailles is just a few metres away, with its restaurant, bar and shops. When you stay at your seaside campsite, you’ll be able to take full advantage of this magnificent beach, whatever the season.
